At the local level, Feed Durham organizes and incubates time-tested mutual aid projects as well as innovative strategies to meet today’s growing needs. Once we’ve worked out the kinks, we share models and blueprints with national and regional partners all over the U.S., through the national mutual aid network that we helped establish.
This June, we will launch a nationwide pallet garden installation program, teaching people across a range of incomes how to set up home gardens that will feed them and their neighbors through the winter time, for less than $150. That’s right! For less than $150 you could feed your family for 6 months or more. Come learn with us and support our work.
